Volunteer
Unlike many educational activities, debate demands active engagement. Students participate by communicating, so we need volunteers who can listen to them. Volunteer for as little as a few hours judging debate rounds on a Saturday. Or become a mentor for a semester, meeting with students and helping them practice, learn, and grow.

If you're interested in volunteering as a judge, fill out one or both of the contact forms for Houston Independent School District (HISD) or Harris County Department of Education (HCDE-CASE) tournaments, and you'll be contacted when tournaments come up.

HUDL provides financial support for this unique educational opportunity: scholarships, tournament competition, and an instructional summer camp on a college campus. Your contributions are critical to our ability to serve these students.
